Kickboxers in Wales 'hard done by' with funding |

 A three-time world kickboxing champion, who has also coached world beaters, says that martial arts students are "hard done by" when it comes to funding.
Rob Taylor, the chief instructor of Devils Martial Arts, told the Rhymney Valley Express that despite growing in popularity across Wales the sport receives little or no funding.
Two members of Mr Taylor's club have just returned with gold medals from the WPKA Kickboxing World Championships in Limassol, Cyprus.
He told the newspaper: "They don't get any sponsorship though. Every trip is funded by their parents. The only help they get is £250 from Caerphilly council.
"We've got more world champions in this country than any other sport yet we can't get any backing for these children."
Meanwhile, Kimberley Jones, a contestant in the Miss Wales competition, has revealed she is getting into shape for the event by training in Thai kickboxing.
She took up the sport aged 11 under the guidance of former world champion Russ Williams, reports the Denbighshire Free Press.
