Tuesday, 08 July 2008
ImageA TV channel has unveiled that it is dedicating sections of its broadcasting to martial arts.

Pulse has announced its Martial Arts TV, which will air at 17:00-18:00 BST and 23:00-00:00 BST daily and focus on all aspects of martial arts.

According to the producers, the programmes will feature interviews with martial arts stars and show classic movies.

The worldwide martial arts community will also be catered for with updates, hints and tips for viewers from experts around the globe.

Nick Payne, chairman of Martial Arts TV, said he looks forward to "building a successful offering" with Pulse.

"We are excited by the opportunities for Martial Arts TV in the months and years ahead and to furthering our mission of bringing the strength and beauty of martial arts to the world," added Mr Payne.

Fast food chain McDonalds recently launched its Get Active scheme, which is offering "taster sessions" at martial arts clubs across the UK to coincide with the launch of Hollywood film Kung fu Panda.
