A martial arts instructor has been helping to raise money for a local hospice.
Swindon Martial Arts Alliance's Ashley Eaglestone led youngsters from Liden pre-school in introductory sessions of karate and tae kwon do to help raise funds for Prospect Hospice.
The Swindon Advertiser reports that the money raised will also help the pre-school invest in a new gazebo.
Mr Eaglestone told the newspaper that spectators who attended the sessions gave "generous contributions".
He added: "Raising money for a place where people spend their last days is important, and it will be nice to see them get an injection of funds.
"Although they didn't top last year's amount of £2,700, a lot of money was raised for some good causes."
The Birmingham branch of the UK Wing Chun Kung Fu Club recently performed demonstrations to help people from the city's university to raise money for the Help The Children China Earthquake appeal, the Birmingham Mail reported.
