Silwood Park Karate Club in Bracknell is celebrating as it now has its first black belt member.
Amy Marshall-Tomalin passed a recent belt grading after training for over five years and was also one of the club's first members when it opened.
GetBracknell reports that Ms Tomalin, 14, who goes to Easthampstead Park School has also been helping to teach other members of the club in her spare time.
Daniel Rose, instructor and club founder, told the news provider that she is "an exceptional black belt".
He added: "Sometimes new members are just extremely shy and reluctant to join in.
"Amy has become almost a junior ambassador to these students giving them support and encouraging them to join in."
Ken Toh Kai Karate Club in Garforth was also recently awarded its first black belts.
The community group had success when Karl Hardcastle and Charlotte Whittles become the first students to pass their gradings, reports Crossgates Today.
