A martial arts school in Ipswich has revealed it is taking part in a nationwide programme to offer free sessions over the school summer holidays.
Phoenix Black Belt School in Ipswich has signed up to the scheme devised by fast food giants McDonalds in conjunction with the British National Martial Arts Association.
The Evening Star reports that customers between the age of five and 12 can get one free session of martial arts in the hope to encourage participation and a healthy lifestyle.
Wayne Jordan, instructor at the school, told the newspaper he hopes the promotion will "raise the awareness of the benefits of marital arts".
"The Kung Fu Panda movie and this activity will allow the positive message and the benefits of martial arts to be spread across the country," he added.
It was recently reported that a Sanshu UK martial arts club in Orpington is hoping to offer youngsters the chance to learn martial arts as an alternative to joining gangs, thisislocallondon.co.uk reported.
