David Blunkett has backed a Yorkshire newspaper's anti-bullying campaign.
The Sheffield Star reports that the former education secretary has added his support to its Boxing Against Bullying campaign.
It is being run in partnership with Sheffield Boxing Centre and aims to raise awareness of bullying, helping victims to have a voice and not put up with harassment.
Mr Blunkett told the newspaper that "bullying is unacceptable" and "must be challenged".
He said: "Every pupil has the right to expect to be able to learn in a safe environment - and not to be bullied just because they are seen to be a little different."
A group of teenagers from Forest Gate have been presented with special awards and certificates for completing a sports-based anti-bullying course.
The Newham Recorder reports that the 11 youths have been attending workshops which explored using football exercise to combat bullying.
