A new anti-bullying campaign is set to be launched in Liverpool during December's anti-bullying week.
The initiative aims to urge pupils to report incidents and is set to revolve around a film which will be shown in schools throughout the city.
Liverpool Echo reports that youngsters will participate in mock trials to explore the issues which are shown in the film entitled Denial, which explores low-level crime, homophobia and school-based assault.
Paul Dagnall, Liverpool council's inclusion support manager, told the newspaper that youngsters need to be encouraged to tackle race crime, bullying and school attendance.
"It is about changing attitudes and shifting the culture that if you report an incident as a young person you're a snitch and a grass," he added.
Jamie Clubb, a martial arts instructor from Coventry, recently started running classes in self defense to help children who are attending a new secondary school in the autumn to combat playground bullies, the Coventry Telegraph reported.
