Sheffield is set to play host to a martial arts performance from a group of Buddhist monks later this year.
The Shaolin Monks, masters in the art of kung fu, will perform their Wheel of Lige show at Sheffield's City Hall on October 29th.
According to the Sheffield Telegraph, the show features a number of acts of physical endurance, including the monks breaking iron bars across their heads to "balancing razor sharp spears".
Some 20 Shaolin monks and five of their younger trainees are scheduled to take part in the martial arts performance, the design of which was aided by Mark Fisher who recently helped plan the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics.
Earlier this week, Gordon Brown said that he hoped to see an increased participation in sports which "instil discipline", such as martial arts, throughout the run-up to London's 2012 Olympics.
