Martial arts youngsters perform unique demonstration |

A team of martial arts youngsters have performed the first demonstration of their new unique brand of karate.
Team Taurus, a group consisting of youngsters aged between six and 12, have developed a blend of hip hop, breakdancing and the martial art of karate.
According to the Oxford Mail, the group have practised the artform for over two years prior to the performance, which was watched by over 100 people.
Team Taurus train at the Oxford School of Martial Arts in Kidlington under the guidance of sensei Mary Stevens.
Nisha Hare, a member of the team, told the newspaper all the youngsters were "really nervous" building up to the demonstration.
"It was really quite scary, but now I want to do more performing because of the adrenaline rush," she added.
In other news, the Harrogate Advertiser reports that the Kenshinkan Karate Academy in Wetherby is to offer free introductory sessions to prospective students over the coming months.
