A new scheme has been launched to protect children from online bullying.
Devised by the UK Council for Child Internet Safety (UKCCIS), over 100 organisations nationwide have joined with the government to make a series of recommendations.
The council will deliver a final report to the prime minister, outlining a series of guidelines to protect young people online.
Under the proposals, a dedicated child internet safety campaign is set to be launched to both combat the issue and provide support to young people affected.
Children's minister Ed Balls, speaking at the launch of the UKCISS, said the launch was a "significant achievement".
"UKCISS will enable everyone from parents to industry, government, education, and childrens welfare organisations to play their part in keeping children safe online," he added.
St Ambrose Primary School in Greater Manchester recently unveiled its new £25,000 bully-free playground, designed to combat the problem by keeping children "fully occupied", according to the South Manchester Reporter.
