A martial arts enthusiast from the north-west of England is celebrating after being inducted into the hall of fame.
Michael Orford from Bebington has been handed a prestigious place in the Taekwondo of Great Britain's Hall of Fame.
According to the Wirral News, he was given the accolade after passing his third degree black belt grading.
The 23-year old had to perform in front of five seventh degree taekwondo masters at the association's headquarters in order to be awarded the belt.
Richard Saunders, coach of Mr Orford and a fifth dan himself, told the newspaper: "He is a dedicated martial artist and winning this award is a great achievement."
Earlier this week, William Hague told The Sun that youngsters should take up the martial art of judo in order to build up their "general fitness".
