A family from Scotland is celebrating after a trio of its members won martial arts medals in a major tournament.
In the European Festival of Martial Arts, which recently took place in Paris, siblings Kieran and Alicia Walton together with their cousin Scott Hughes all earned medal placing in the taekwondo category.
The Edinburgh Evening News reports the three youngsters all train at the Meadowbank stadium in the city.
Nine-year-old Kieran was victorious and earned gold, while his seven-year-old sister and 11-year-old cousin both earned silvers.
Nicola Hughes, mother to Kieran and Alicia, told the newspaper: "I think it's a good sport for children to be involved in.
"I do get really nervous and worry that accidents can happen, but they really love it."
In the same tournament, Hannah Wheeler-Smith and Latia Suen, from Lowestoft and Bradwell respectively, ended up competing against each other in the bronze medal Kate match, with Ms Suen emerging victorious, the Lowestoft Journal reported.
