Christian Slater 'turns to karate' |

 A leading Hollywood actor has turned to martial arts in order to combat his personal demons.
Christian Slater, star of Robin Hood Prince of Thieves and Broken Arrow, told Contact Music he had started taking karate lessons in order to get over lifelong worries over his height.
He added he had discovered a talent for "kicking butts".
Mr Slater said his instructors did not "cut him any slack" despite being a famous actor and he has progressed to a green belt so far.
"Also, I wanted to introduce my son to it," he explained.
"He was about three, and I thought, 'Well, this is cool. He can go and watch me."
Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin is preparing to launch a new judo DVD.
The sixth dan works with some of the leading names in the sport to teach the martial arts in the video.
