Mark Strange, who starred with Jackie Chan in The Medallion among other movies, is set to return to teaching martial arts.
The Leyland resident, who has represented the UK at martial arts world championships and became the youngest professional ever to open his own training centre at the age of 18, will be an instructor at a Preston academy.
He will teach kung fu and kickboxing - skills he has honed himself by training with martial arts masters in China - at the city's Master Class Centre, the Lancashire Evening Post reports
Mr Strange said: "I can't wait to get back to my first love, teaching and giving something back to the community
[this] is what Preston needs.
"I think it gives kids discipline and an art form to learn. And it's good for keeping everyone fit and focussed and out of trouble."
His friend, owner of the new centre Shaun Noteman, added: "The addition of Mark to the team brings the total number of systems offered to the Preston community to seven including wing chun, continuous kickboxing, grappling submission, Thai boxing, tai chi, Chinese kickboxing and lin wan kung fu."
As well as maintaining his acting career, Mr Strange has also produced and starred in two movies himself - Displaced and Underground.
